Description
This Xiom blade was made for Hugo Calderano, a top-level player from Brazil. The SAL, which stands for “Super Arylate”, is a non-carbon material which provides a wooden feeling in a composite blade. The SAL layers are located on the outer plies of the blade’s construction, right under the Koto top veneer. The Hugo Calderano SAL does not prove to be an extremely fast or stiff a weapon. The characteristics are well-suited to Hugo Calderano and his playing style.
The hardness of rubbers recently increased so that the need for speed/control balanced blades arised. In order to meet the needs of the players, XIOM developed a new composite that can provide complete control and spin while fully supporting the rubber’s speed.
SUPER ARYLATE maintains the allwood feeling but with zero vibration and stability for big sweetspot and consistency. Now available in Australia as Limited Edition!
